How can I participate in the events?

Participation is open to everyone. You can join our events by checking our calendar, signing up for our mailing list and attending any upcoming gathering. All are welcome!

Are the events family-friendly?

Yes, our events are designed to be family-friendly, offering activities and music that engage both children and adults.

What should newcomers expect?

Newcomers can expect a warm welcome, vibrant music, and a chance to connect with others in a relaxed and supportive environment.

Do I need to bring anything to the events?

Just bring yourself and your enthusiasm! If you want to bring an instrument (real or kid version) and/or a snack to share, that’s totally welcome too!

Is there a cost to attend?

Our events are free to attend, though donations are appreciated to help support our community activities.

How often are events held?

We hold events just about every other week, usually on Saturday afternoon at 4:30pm. Check our calendar and join the mailing list for the latest schedule of gatherings.

Can I volunteer or get involved?

Absolutely! We welcome volunteers! Contact us to learn more about how you can contribute.

Is DC Musical Shabbat organized by Am Kolel?

Am Kolel is DC Musical Shabbat’s fiscal sponsor (a role Am Kolel has fulfilled for many startup Jewish groups) but does not organize DC Musical Shabbat.  Thanks to Am Kolel, donations to DC Musical Shabbat are tax-deductible.
